WE ARE THE DESTOYAS

Fourth broadcast on Radioactive Radio.

Good morning, Mud Pies. Your host, Neon Cinderella, signing on for another entry on the pirate frequency.

I have not gone live in a few days due to some technical difficulties with my Transmitter, but it has all been remedied. I have, nonetheless, taken the time to do some things I had on hold. And I finally have a functional laser gun, after I make some arrangements it will be as shiny as a bullet reflecting the Sun.

This week has been a long one, battling Draculoids and such. But most important of all, there was the alleged transmission of the Killjoys (Party Poison, Fun Ghoul, Jet Star and Kobra Kid) infiltrating Battery City. The tape shows them killing off BL/ind and S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W/ employees to save their curly-haired Killjoy child companion.

I know the whole Dangerverse is in shock at the corporation's apparent frying of the boys. I couldn't believe it. And this is why I believe we should unite and invade Battery City to (at least) reclaim the bodies... if they truly ARE dead.

As Party Poison said: Killjoys never die.

Anyone else ready to get dirty? Remember, Dust Devils, they can beat us, break our bones and take our lives, but the spirit of the Killjoys will always be present in every single grain of sand in the Zones.

This is our family. This is our desert. This is our home.

Keep it polished, Molotovs.

DANGER DAYS

Third broadcast on Radioactive Radio.

Hello, Dust Puppies. Neon Cinderella here, transmitting live from Zone 6. So, I take it most of you have heard our favorite DJ's broadcast?

I have no words.

This record, the Killjoys' record... it is a beautiful thing. Not to mention the amazing visuals that made me feel like I was tripping acid or having a seizure or some other ridiculous thing.  From start to finish, this album has gotten under my Sun-toughened skin and connected with the depths of my soul (if there is such a thing as one).

But why?

Well, my dear Mayhem Makers, I had to think about it, listening to the songs on repeat on my portable music player whilst out driving around the Zones on my motorbike. I quickly realized why this happened.

Do any of you remember those days when we were young, way before the Detonation happened or Battery City was founded? When we didn't know we would all be running around in the post-apocalyptic desert clad in multicolor attire? We were all kids once, kids with desires, aspirations and freedom. We were unafraid to dream, and dream big. We could be anything we wanted; one day we were Batman, the next day we were firefighters, and the next day we were kings and queens.

But what happens when we grow up?

We are taught to dream, to play and to do when we are kids, but when we reach the first signs of adulthood, we are taught to take things "seriously" and to be "realistic". Any "childish" dreams or ideas are shoved to the back row of our mind, haunting us as we grow older each day.

This record reminded me of why we cannot grow up. By this, I am not referring to sitting around your house in diapers because you don't wanna take responsibility for yourself and because you need to depend on people to wipe your ass for you. I mean growing up in the sense that we become mature children. With life, comes experiences and everything that happens to you will teach you something new. The challenge is to keep the kid inside you alive, dream big and to take every moment as a step closer to achieving your dream.

They say that people who have their heads up too high in the clouds will fall hard when "reality" hits them. But what is reality, really, besides a situation you create for yourself? If you believe in something, if you love something, if you fight for it, if you work hard, there is no way you will lose. This is what 'Danger Days' reminded me about.

Speaking of growing up, I would like to talk about why my Killjoy name is dear to me:

Neon Cinderella. If you break it down to two words, you get:

-Cinderella: a fictional Disney princess character. This, to me, is a metaphor of being a kid and living according to one's dreams, of being fearless of what stands in your way. It is a representation of a girl who has aspired to be everything and anything.

-Neon: fluorescent lighting or sign. For me, neon is something used frequently to advertise stores, restaurants or other types of places. It is a representation of having to accept the "reality" that exists around you, of having to grow up and change.

But, when I put these two together it isn't just 'Neon' and 'Cinderella.

Neon Cinderella: a girl who has remained a kid while growing up and adapting to the changes she goes through without compromising her dreams, in such a way where she has learned to keep her hopes alive through it all.

That is what I try to live by everyday. It is not the simplest thing to do, as we are surrounded by beings who will tirelessly try to hammer those ideas out of our minds. This is where you must stay strong, Desert Dolls: never lose that childlike hope that is unconditional and undefeatable.

We are the Fabulous Killjoys, and there is a reason we are a family.

Hm, I realize I've touched upon many themes here. My final point is to say that, if you haven't listened to the 'Danger Days' broadcast Dr Death Defying didwatch it here.

I'd like to add that my Transmission is in the broadcast! I was shocked to see it there (pleasantly shocked, of course). It is at minute 25:12 and the original video transmission can be viewed here.

So long, my friends, my brothers, my sisters. Until next time, keep fighting.

FREEDOM FIGHTING

Second transmission on Radioactive Radio.

Hola, Danger Devils. Neon Cinderella here, live from the Synthetic Frontier on the pirate radio frequency. Hope you are all keeping it polished out there.

As I lurked through the alleyways of Battery City today, I was disturbed by the amount of shameless control the Better Living bastards have over the place.  It may have been bad before, but now it's just scary.  Not to mention those S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W/ suckers helping them demolish any attempt of justified rebellion.  The city's offices and schools are filled with the dull faces of victims of emotion-altering pills and cookie-cutter "perfection".  Going around the city was like being immersed in an antique film: silent and black-and-white. These people have a vague or no notion at all of what being alive is. They do not know what lies outside the city's skyscrapers.

They do not know freedom.

Besides the propaganda and the 'WANTED' posters, they have an incomplete and censored perspective of what it truly means to be a Killjoy.  A Killjoy is: an agent of annihilation, a freedom fighter, a technicolor time-bomb, a rainbow ranger, a desert detonator, a creator and a destroyer. We are tough, we are loving, we are stubborn, we are fearless, we are brave, we are fast, we are loud, we are rebels, we are adventurous, we are happy, we are sad, we are angry, we are clever, we are colorful.

Nobody can ever take that away from you.
No one can ever take YOU away from yourself.

And that is what this whole thing is about. Standing together for a greater cause, picking each other up when we are tripped and then sawing off the leg of the person who tripped you. Figuratively, of course.

I leave you now, Bombshell Babies, to listen to "Into The Mystic" by Van Morrison.

Remember that, once you have your freedom, you must fight to keep it every single day. Keep your freedom shiny. Keep it polished.

No shame, Killjoys!

PIRATE RADIO FREQUENCY

First broadcast on Radioactive Radio.

Killjoy: Neon Cinderella.  Cinder for short.  Finally got this sucker up and running, a week and some bloody fingers later.  Found a decent place to settle, off of the BL/ind grid... for now.  Since the Detonation, it's not really convenient to be stationary. We gotta stay on our toes, Killjoys, none of the lethargy of last decade.  Sharp senses are the key to survival here.  Equip yourself with your art, some fuel and hot wheels, and you've got something going here.  Oh, and batteries are always useful, we need them now more than ever.  I might need to pick up a Vend-a-Hack system soon for a new ray gun.  Last one got shattered in a Draculoid ambush.  Managed to twist their necks in a painful direction, needless to say. Still, a top-notch laser is always a plus.

But I'm getting off topic here. These are dangerous days, dust demons, and the only way to stay alive is to stick together. Help each other out and we will come out on top; this BL/ind censorship crap cannot stop us from being ourselves. No resorting to BL-brand pills either, emotions are real. Pain is real. Love is real. Anger is real. Life is real.

You can't censor life, can you? It's what makes us who we are, Killjoys. Don't forget it.

Hopefully this transmission will go out smoothly on pirate radio, the BL/ind don't pick up this frequency. If any of you guys out there are tuning in, send me some replies on the frequency. This Lone Ranger stuff is getting old.

With this, I sign out. I leave you to listen to more of the Soundtrack of Sand, "Beat The Devil's Tattoo" by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

Enjoy and sweet detonating to you all!
